Renowned entomologist Justin Schmidt (Justin Schmidt) once intentionally for a few years to expose yourself to some 150 different insect stings. And it was all done in the name of science.
The result of his research was the Schmidt scale, which assesses pain on a scale from 1 to 4 for the first time it was published in 1984 and supplemented in 1990.
The scale includes examples of the types of insects, assessment of pain, and a description of how their painful sting.
